Draft for website publication. Owner should review before treating this as final.
Acceptance
By creating an account or using SparkClass, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What SparkClass is
SparkClass is a practice and engagement tool for class-centred electrical training. It is:
- Not a formal assessment or credentialing system
- Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of NZQA, EWRB, or any specific training provider
- Aligned to public unit-standard topic areas for organisation of practice content; quiz items are original practice material
Accounts and classes
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep login credentials secure
- Students generally need a class invite code to use practice, live sessions, and Q&A
- Trainer accounts are invite/approval-only
- You must not share accounts or attempt to access another user’s data
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, abuse, or impersonate others
- Post unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful content in Q&A or elsewhere
- Attempt to bypass security, scrape content at scale, or disrupt live sessions
- Copy or redistribute controlled exams, proprietary assessments, or copyrighted materials you do not have rights to use
- Use SparkClass to misrepresent results as formal credentials
We may suspend or remove access for misuse, safety, or operational reasons.
Content and intellectual property
- The SparkClass application, branding, and original question bank are owned by Page and Portal or its licensors
- You retain rights to content you submit (such as Q&A posts), and grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to operate the class features
- Unit standards and related public documents remain subject to their own publishers’ terms; we use them as a curriculum map, not as a pasteable exam bank
AI Explore feature
Explore may open third-party AI tools (such as Gemini or ChatGPT) in your browser with a suggested prompt. Those tools are outside SparkClass. Their answers are not guaranteed to be correct; treat them as study aids only.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on an “as available” basis while we build and improve it. Features, content packs, and hosting URLs may change. We may add licensing or paid plans later; current classroom use described on the site may be free until we say otherwise.
Disclaimer
SparkClass is provided as is without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that practice content is complete, exam-aligned in every outcome, or suitable as the sole preparation for any formal assessment.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Page and Portal is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of SparkClass. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you cannot waive under the Consumer Guarantees Act or other non-excludable law where it applies.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we publish revisions.
